Southern Heritage Ball Night

Last night a group of friends and I went to a Southern Heritage Ball. Our group met at my friends' house and then headed to the American Legion Hall in town. The night was full of antebellum charm and music heard during the Civil War period. We learned many of the dances traditional to that time period such as, the Virginia Reel, the Spanish Waltz, and the Hat dance. Surprisingly, the dances were really cool and lots of fun! Here are a few of the many pictures that we took throughout the evening. To check out more...Click to play slideshow!

We all had a blast and will never forget that night! The girls wore different antebellum style dresses and the guys wore tuxedos or other types of old style clothing.
I never thought I would enjoy dancing or even going to something like this, but GOSH I had such a blast--it was so amazing!

Wow! That looks like so much fun! Where would I get more info on attending one of these? My mother and I would have a hoot at this! BTW, I tried the slideshow and it isn't loading for me.
